Not Left. Not Right. FORWARD.

Crime and public safety in Centennial

Crime & Public Safety

Crime and public safety are major concerns for Coloradans, yet it's shocking that our state is considered one of the most dangerous places to live.  Why?  Because legislation keeps law enforcement from doing its job. We can do better than this! Centennial values and respects all law enforcement (SROs, Co-Responders, and our beloved K-9s).  Each are true heroes in our community.

I will continue to prioritize and support local law enforcement to keep our community safe.

Housing in Centennial

Housing

The lack of affordable housing  in Centennial is a major issue - young people can't buy, and seasoned folks can't downsize.  We can do better than this!   We must allow for builders to create homes for everyone, including condos and townhomes. This involves taking a realistic look at zoning, resources, insurance, and the supply chain.

I will continue fighting to make home ownership a priority in Centennial.

Affordability and the high cost of living in Centennial

Affordability & The High Cost of Living

Has your budget gone up by 30% like mine? Why is everything so expensive? It's frustrating to see costs for everyday items like energy, insurance, and groceries constantly going up. We can do better than this! I’m committed to finding solutions to make Centennial more affordable for families and vulnerable residents.

I will fight to make Centennial a place where families and our most vulnerable residents can thrive.

Economic Development

Businesses of all types and sizes are struggling across Colorado, especially our beloved Streets at Southglenn in District 1. We can do better than this! Centennial's "business-friendly" climate keeps unnecessary mandates, over-regulation and micromanagement at bay. With terrific partners like DenverSouth and the South Metro Denver Chamber, Centennial's businesses will continue to thrive, and the entire community benefits.

I will continue fighting to make Centennial a business-friendly community.

Home rule in Centennial

Protecting Home Rule

From Centennial's inception, we had a Home Rule Charter which states that Centennial's citizens "know what's best" for Centennial vs. being dictated to by the state. A "one-size-fits-all" mentality is not best for Centennial. From parking, to zoning, to housing, our Centennial way of life is being threatened.  We can do better than this!

I will continue fighting to protect Home Rule, keeping decisions local and giving constituents a voice.

My Perspective

Philosophy on Government

The proper role of government is limited and shouldn’t exceed its delegated powers, nor should it redistribute wealth or force citizens to perform acts of charity against their will.  We can do better than this!  We, the People, should be holding our elected officials accountable.  Our government should uphold the Constitution and establish the rule of law to define, protect, and enforce our individual rights and freedoms.  Government that is limited, lean and balanced is best.
